Hoy he visto la película “Hotel Rwanda”, la historia de cómo Paul Rusesabagina, gerente del hotel de lujo Mille Collines de Kigali, hizo posible que sobreviviesen a la masacre más de mil personas.

Me ha hecho volver a 1994, cuando todo pasó. Aun recuerdo las imágenes en las noticias. Hoy, tal vez por el paso del tiempo, y al verlo de esta manera, me ha permitido entender parte de lo que allí pasó. No he podido evitar llorar de pena.

La historia se repite una vez tras otra en todo el mundo. Nunca parece acabar. Alimentar el odio siempre tiene graves consecuencias. Ante esto me avergüenzo de la humanidad.

Creo que Wyclef Jean resume muy bien el sentimiento en su canción Million Voices, aquí os dejo la letra.
